This month's country is Kuwait. Kuwait is a small country sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I rarely hear about this country on the news, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't pray for the nation. Here is some information about the country:
Religion(s): Muslim (official) 76.7%, Christian 17.3%, other and unspecified 5.9%
Ethic groups: Kuwaiti 31.3%, other Arab 27.9%, Asian 37.8%, African 1.9%, other 0.6% (includes European, North American, South American, and Australian) (2013 est.)
"Evangelism to Kuwaitis is forbidden. Kuwaitis who openly convert to Christianity face harassment and arrest, but more underground church members are making their faith public. Foreign Christians have the freedom to live and work in Kuwait, but they must worship within enclosed compounds, and no new land is being released for church buildings. Only Muslims may become citizens. House churches exist, and Bibles can be sold legally. As recently as three years ago, there were only a handful of Kuwaiti believers, but now there is a small, growing community of indigenous believers. Some are very bold in sharing their faith."Kuwait definitely needs prayer. Prayers for more to come to Christ. Prayers for those who already know & believe in Jesus to stay strong and continue to be bold in sharing their faith.
